Food & Beverage Attendant / Supervisor
Leisure and Sea Services Ltd is currently looking to recruit Food & Beverage Attendants and Supervisors to join its team on a full-time basis. The level of appointment will depend on the selected candidate's experience.
Leisure and Sea Services Ltd, based at The Core in Msida, recruits, employs and manages staff for hotels, serviced apartments and cruise and yacht operators across Malta and the central Mediterranean.
Reporting to the client's Restaurant or F&B Manager, the successful candidates will provide food and beverage service in hotel restaurants, bars, banqueting and events.
Main responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare the restaurant, bar or function area before service.
- Welcome guests, take orders and serve food and beverages.
- Recommend dishes and drinks and answer menu questions.
- Handle payments and bills accurately.
- Keep service areas clean and follow food safety standards.
- At Supervisor level: plan the service, allocate sections, brief and train staff, and handle guest complaints.
What we are looking for
- A qualification at MQF Level 2 or higher, or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in restaurant, hotel or bar service
- Candidates with 5 or more years' experience will be considered for the Supervisor level
- A friendly, professional manner with guests
- Good spoken English
- A food handling certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Other languages are considered an asset
What we offer
- Gross salary of EUR 22,000 to EUR 36,000 per annum, depending on level and experience
- Share of service charge where applicable
- Indefinite contract after successful completion of the probationary period
- 40 hours per week on a roster
- Leave entitlement in line with Maltese employment legislation
